Before the Freeze - Director's Cut
"Before the Freeze - Director's Cut" is a short experimental psychodrama about a mother, anxiety, and a water bottle.
"Before the Freeze - Director's Cut" is the new, longer version of the failed experimental psychodrama, "Before the Freeze." The original version of this film had issues, but that was the my (the editor's) fault, not the film's fault. In "Before the Freeze - Director's Cut" problematic audio has been removed, footage has been added, scenes have been extended, and scenes have been added. It is a wonderful, new short film made out of the remnants of an old film.

Tenley E. Raj is a filmmaker living in Houston, TX with her two small children, Millie and Guy. Tenley turned to film after motherhood and during divorce. Her films are auto-biographical.
"Before the Freeze - Director's Cut" is a new short film made from an old short film nobody understood. The original version had some problems: experimental audio everybody mistook for technological error, a story-line that moved too abruptly, and a lack of clear storytelling, to name a few. But that was my, the editor's fault--not the movie's fault. In this version, the Director's Cut, I have addressed these and other issues, and have brought the film into its full glory.
Our main character, Jo, is an over-stressed, newly-single mom going through a divorce and dealing with her anxiety the best way she knows how: through escapism. Watch what happens when a friend comes over one afternoon. I'm thrilled to present this new film to you. Thank you!
