Beedy - 7 and 1/2
The music video of Brooklyn based artist Beedy for “7 and 1/2”, third single for his latest album “Neon Hues”. The song is a collaboration with multi platinum producer Teddy Walton (Kendrick Lamar ”Love”, GoldLink “Crew”).
The video, directed by SXSW award-winning Marco Rosella is an unusual take to the classic hip-hop videos of the 90s and to the mystery of online dating.
It follows an old school anchorman (played by Joseph Rose) interviewing an upset Beedy in his fancy house, while a mysterious contortionist (Anna Vladi) is listening to his song somewhere else. A flashback shows Beedy walking on the streets of Brooklyn as in a classic MTV-era clip: this video-inside-the-video has been filmed in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood with a vintage Hi-8 camera mounted a special modern rig.

“I wanted to extend the meaning of 7 and 1/2 lyrics with a storyline on top of it, in the same way that a video interview has on top one or more B-rolls.”
