For years local artists in the Bedford region have wanted a venue to showcase their work. Finally, in 2019, after much collaboration and behind the scenes planning, we are excited to present the first Bedford International Film Festival.
The Bedford Film Festival is a three-day event where attendees will have the opportunity to be the first to view films from around the world alongside films shot in your backyard (sometimes literally).
As we gear up for our inaugural event, taking place in Bedford, Virginia, in July of this year, please do submit your independent or student film projects for consideration at the film festival.
This festival is a competition in which artists submit their films to be judged by their peers and professionals for which prizes are awarded for winners.
All selected films will screen free of charge however only category winners receive any prizes such as but not limited to cash prizes and donated gifts.
The judge's selections are final.
There are no refunds of entry fees should you not win.
