Director Statement

When I set out to make Becoming Mrs. Presley, I wanted to explore the quiet, intimate moments behind one of the most iconic unions in history—the wedding of Priscilla Beaulieu and Elvis Presley. Their story is one of love, fame, and an unrelenting spotlight, but what fascinated me was the untold tension, vulnerability, and humanity that existed in those hours leading up to the ceremony. It’s not just a story of glitz and glamor—it’s about a young woman stepping into the unknown, balancing her love for Elvis with the weight of the world watching.

Casting 14-year-old Lexi Bohrer in her debut role as Priscilla was a decision that came with immense pride. Lexi embodies the poise, grace, and quiet strength that Priscilla Presley is known for. Her ability to step into this role with such maturity and emotional depth is remarkable, and it’s clear she is a star in waiting. This project became not only an homage to an iconic love story but also an opportunity to showcase a young actress who exemplifies talent, elegance, and raw potential. I am honored to direct her first film project and introduce her to the world through this lens.

Becoming Mrs. Presley is more than a historical snapshot—it’s a deeply personal reflection on the courage it takes to embrace love amidst chaos, and I am thrilled to bring this story to life with a team as passionate as the story itself.
