Director Statement

Today's world of social media and beauty culture has molded our beauty standard into an artificial and ordinary look; almost plastic and robotic in nature. I believe a lot of unhappiness in the world springs from our inabilities to reach that expectation through difficult and tolling transformations. Beauty should shine through our differences, but instead, we all try to look the same. Our little peculiarities are made out to be problems that need fixing and we're told we should change. Coming from someone who has body dysmorphia, I know it's easier said than done to except yourself. But trying to change who you are can create a whole different beast and sometimes, it's not our own decision.
