This film is about growing up a boy through the prism of traditions. The tradition of "bauyryna salu" is hundreds of years old. It was born from the lifestyle and way of life of nomads. The uniqueness of this tradition is that it has been preserved to this day. At first glance, this chamber story is dedicated to tradition. But step by step, the viewer, together with the main character, will discover that this story is about the eternal problem of fathers and children, which is especially relevant in our global world.
For me, as a director, it is very important to reveal the inner world of the hero, but at the same time to preserve the childlike spontaneity and break down the barrier between the camera and a twelve-year-old boy. The cameraman and I would like to tell the story, resorting directly to angular, rectilinear and sharp frames in order to see the world as a child sees it. Violation of the composition of the frame will give the picture an individual artistic solution. And thereby emphasize children's perception of the world and people.
