Originally from Kentucky, Justin joined the military at 18 and spent 4 years of active duty service with the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Las Vegas when his service commitment ended and decided to stay there to pursue a career in fitness. It was during this time that he first picked up a camera.
Soon after, he committed to pursuing filmmaking as a full-time profession by enrolling in film school and within the next year moved across the country to attend the world-renowned Savannah College of Art and Design.
During this time he garnered 7 Student Emmy nominations and 4 wins in the categories of Directing, Short Form, and Editing (2X).
