Director Biography - Fredrick Ochieng

I am a freelance filmmaker and a photographer. I am a documentary filmmaker. I got interested in film and photography when I was just 9 years old, using my point and shoot camera helped me get close to people got connected to their feelings. This reason made me have a great interest in humanity, hence my focus to tell stories about them and stories for change or that will start a positive dialogue from my community to the global village.

I have all over the years been interested in film and media development project in Kenya and beyond. I have been offering workshops, exchange programs and film screening to the upcoming filmmakers to have a chance to tell their own stories but most important have a space to learn, create and connect.
