Banshee
After arriving at her grandmother's old castle, Sylv and her husband Martin discover that an old Irish myth may, in fact, be real.
Full Story Synopsis:
Sylv and Martin arrive at an old Irish castle belonging to Sylv’s family. The two enjoy the sights and explore the mansion. After having a “honeymoon night” Sylv hears an unnatural sound that wakes her up. She tries to find Martin who is no longer in the bed. As Sylv searches the castle for Martin, she sees shadows dart around and hears the unnatural wails. After some time, Sylv finds Martin lying on the ground dead. She kneels beside him and weeps. We see the banshee glide in next to Martin and suddenly disappear. Then we see Sylv’s face as she stops weeping and lowers her hands. Her eyes are now glowing red and we hear an unnatural wail emanate from her mouth.

When writing the script for this film, I wanted to seek out a story that was more obscure. I have always had a fascination with Irish culture and mythology and, more specifically, the myth of the Banshee. After selecting this as my subject, I began to consider who would be interacting with this creature. Sylv was named after a character from a game I played. Her mindset and approach to the events in the film are direct adaptations from various experiences I have had. I hope that those who see this film find the joy warming and the fear palpable.
