Bandaid
I don't know
Where to go
Monsters in the closet
Aren't there anymore
Follow, the lines of chalk on the pavement
Walked across the school yard saying "Hey mom, I made it"
Remember to romanticize
The bark on willow trees
The tires on the bicycle turn two
Instead of three
Sometimes I think
About packing up my things
Remembering my brother
Wiping blood off of my knees
Sliding down the canvas
Of my best friend’s trampoline
My mother bought a bag
When she was down by the pharmacy
She handed me a bandaid
And told me not to bleed
She handed me a bandaid
And it's all I ever see
