Balance
Even at night, Maya cannot escape thoughts of work. In her dreams, she envisions her colleagues conducting a meeting in her own room. She attempts to fit in, but the dream takes a terrifying turn, transforming into a genuine nightmare: everyone screams, paper flies, and the room becomes engulfed in a storm. The next morning, Maya heads to work as usual, listening to a motivational speech from another highly productive individual. Maya appears motivated and efficient on the surface, but underneath, she is an exhausted young woman plagued by nervous tic, forgetfulness, and anxiety.
After paying a visit to her roommate, Maya discovers that today is actually Saturday. Now, as a genuine workaholic, someone who always feels they haven't done enough, she must choose between dedicating her weekend to pursuing success or taking a much-needed break to rejuvenate and regain strength.

My film “Balance” serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of finding a healthy work-life balance. Through the journey of the main character, I explore the consequences of workaholism on mental health and life in general: nervousness, poor sleep, anxiety, and fear of failure. In this film, I challenge the prevailing notion of constant burnout as a badge of honor and instead emphasize the importance of nurturing a harmonious equilibrium in life.
To sum up the idea of the film, we can conclude that maintaining a delicate balance between work and rest is the key to achieving true success and happiness.
