Marco Augelli is a London based director and producer. His latest work includes the feature documentary “Battle of Soho”, starring Stephen Fry and Lindsay Kemp, premiered at Warsaw Film Festival.
His first accolades arrived when he was just 16 years old, winning the best film award at three national Italian film festivals with his first short film Al Quds.
Marco trained at Ravensbourne University London, that awarded him with the 1st class honour degree and best director award of the course for his short film Backwards, in 2019. The film is currently on the festival run, aiming for selection from the world top five film festivals.
He freelances as a videographer and self-shooting director. He also works as a Duty Manager in Curzon cinemas, art house theatre and UK distribution company. Being close to the cinema and theatre experience helps him understand and connect with today’s audiences and the latest work from the mainstream, independent and foreign film spectrum.
His love for documentaries led him to collaborate with Emmy and BAFTA-winning company Atlantic Production, on two features commissioned by PBS.
He is currently involved in the development of a series of new projects and is building his body of work as a director and producer.
