Director Biography - Hamish Hutchinson

Founder of Renaissance Ham Productions and co-founder of filmmaking collective The Bigger Picture. BackTrack is his second major short as director, following The Bruce. Other production credits include the MicroBudgetVerse film series (writer, director, composer…) and short docu-drama, The Alman: A Dramatic History (writer, actor).

BackTrack was the culmination of an idea I had in 2019 to create a series of short films about ordinary people gaining extraordinary powers out of mundane circumstances – boiling a kettle, trying to warm up, recurrent lateness – that birthed the MicroBudgetVerse.
