A background in improv and sketch comedy led him to want to see his ideas on the screen. His short film SHEEP (starring Paul Walter Hauser) premiered at the ChooseATL House at SXSW in 2019, and shortly after screened at the Atlanta Film Festival. He’s been commissioned by Funny Or Die to direct a couple Exclusives, and also directed a sketch series called “Taco Tuesday” co-opted by Funny or Die, which later became a (co-written) pilot script that sold to Flower Films and Pop TV. He directed a short film called MAMILs that won a few “Best of Fest” awards including but not limited to The No Coast Film Festival and South Georgia Film Festival.
Jonathon Pawlowski is a writer/director/actor who wants to make you laugh. That makes him feel good and accepted, but now he wants more from you. He believes comedy is the key to the soul, and once opened, deeper connection and transformation can take place. Saccharine, he knows, but with a culture trending toward division and individualism why not turn the light back toward building community?
