Of all the festivals in and out of the United States that our team has attended this was by far the favorite. The networking opportunities were incredible (someone reached out to us to distribute our short), the quality of films chosen were excellent, and our team had a blast in general (everyone was very cool and down to earth). We were in direct communication with the festival's Programming Director, Joseph Willwerth, who was always prompt in his responses and super clear and nice. What Kweighbaye Kotee and the whole Bushwick team has created is a top notch festival that fosters a real sense of community. Hope to be there again next year!

We were so happy for our first selection to be with Bushwick Film Festival. While we had an emergency arise and had to change our plans to attend the festival seems to have been run well. Communication could have been better as virtually none of our emails were ever answered by anyone at the festival and the filmmaker email changed halfway through the process. All in all this is a solid festival that seems to be growing fast which isn’t a bad thing.

  • Its an amazing festival! Love the people that organize it, how they treat you, all the things they do to help indi filmmakers and also loved the other projects that were part of the festival. I loved to have my world premiere at this festival.

Bushwick FF is a festival not to miss! We had an amazing time at the festival, showing our short film DISPEL on opening night. The communication from the festival team was excellent and the enthusiasm of the audience, fellow filmmakers, and everyone involved was inspiring. The quality of films is high and the opportunities to promote your film and meet fellow filmmakers is great. Can't wait to be back!
