BUNK TALK

Bunk Talk is a short documentary encompassing one of the many traditions that make Interlochen what it is: a nighttime conversation with one's bunkmates about anything in the world. Our film explores the impact of bunk talk on Interlochen faculty, students, and how it has helped them create strong bonds with people across the globe. Overall, "Bunk Talk" is a story about connection and human bond; it allows us to understand that we, humans, are not so different from each other after all.

Director Statement

Hi, I'm Marina Ten Have, and I'm 17. I've been passionate about filmmaking since the 6th grade when I started creating book trailers for my school's library. Ever since I picked up a camera, I've been captivated with the energy and power of filmmaking. I've so far created a variety of films which touch on topics that are important to me, from LGBTQ, mental illness, and how culture shapes your identity.
