BUDDYGUARD
Emergency vehicles such as ambulances in Special Region of Yogyakarta are often hampered while traveling to the hospital despite carrying critical patients. The strong sound of the siren was no longer able to penetrate the dense traffic. This condition provoked the initiative of a group of young people in Special Region of Yogyakarta to form a community of volunteers named "Team Escort Ambulance Jogja" or T.E.A.J who moved to guard the ambulance in various street situations so that the ambulance as soon as possible reached the hospital. Ranging from breaking up crowded streets for ambulances, racing at high speed, to dividing tasks in ambulance escort.

Adinda Yayank Dwirana, born in Medan, Sumatra North, Indonesia. Now studying at Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta since 2016, Interested in the field of documentary film and taking focus in documentary film. The documentary film titled "BUDDYGUARD" in 2019 became the first documentary film directed.
This film depicts the reality of an emergency situation when operating in Indonesia, one of which is the Special Region of Yogyakarta. How difficult it is for the community to have empathy for emergencies such as ambulances that bring patients. The establishment of community volunteers move T.E.A.J as escorting an ambulance to get to the hospital a proof of the apathy of the public and the authorities to realize that the life of man is precious. This film takes the perspective of the members of T.E.A.J themselves over the anxiety they experienced.
