How does a queer lifestyle differ from heterosexual living? One significant contrast is the question of biological family, which occurs through parents or the desire to have children.
For many, family is a feeling of belonging, support and love. However, it usually represents a heteronormative construction that queer people are either excluded from or have to adapt to. How difficult is it to break this construction if you have grown up with this concept and have internalised it? Is it even possible to think of something else? We wanted to explore these questions in a chamber play with queer characters who could break these conventions.
