BRO Men with Hope to Bring

BRO Men with Hope to Bring
A feature-length documentary on the lives of a group of men in the Catholic Church called "Religious Brothers" who live the vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience. Devoted to God through their ministry and prayer, they strive to make a difference in the world by being present and available to the people and communities they serve.
Some would say that they are the "best-kept secret of the church," but what does it really mean to be a Catholic Religious Brother? How are the Brothers distinct from the Catholic priests?
The BRO filmmakers travelled around the world to tell their stories showing the challenges they face and their impetuses in their countercultural lifestyle they chose to live.
What empowers them as they live their vows in a secular world?
This full-length documentary addresses these questions as it uncovers why they are men with hope to bring.

Director Statement

"There are always beautiful stories to tell; it is part of our human condition and the nature of our reality. The challenge is how to capture them and turn them into images and sound in light of what is true and just. This can only happen if we allow our audiences to be transformed by what we make. That is the power of art - to inspire, to challenge and give others a reason to continue to tell their stories.
