Before turning to dance, Silvia has trained and worked in architecture. In 2020 she completed a Masters in Contemporary Dance at the London Contemporary Dance School, throughout which she recognized film as a crosspoint of space, movement and rhythm. She has been exploring filmmaking as a choreographic practice, looking to highlight the dance in everyday situations and documentary stories. Her short films “Yacht Club Swing” and “Michael” have been selected for multiple festivals and events in the UK, including Leeds International Film Festival (2019), North West Noises (2020), and Knowledge Quarter Conference (2021).
