It is the mission of the BOOST Film Festival to support the work of talented and dedicated filmmakers and to share their work so that it may inspire, educate, and transform youth and professionals in the youth work field.

The BOOST Film Festival strand offers attendees the opportunity to view films highlighting relevant topics in the education field including issues relating to today’s youth. Many of the featured films offer supplemental materials, such as curriculum, to take back and implement at your school or program. When available, the BOOST Film Festival strand also offers the opportunity for post-film discussion with the filmmakers or representatives from the film company.

Eligible Films: Films made with a copyright within 2 years of submission date and premiers are given priority in the selection process, but all films are welcome for submission in the festival. Student submissions can be entered if adult supervision or minimal help was needed, but the ideas and creative process were done by the student. Eligible films must be at least 30 minutes in length.

Submission Format: For purposes of submission, all preview copies must be submitted on DVD and be in English. DVDs must be marked with title, running time, and contact information printed or clearly written with permanent marker. Submissions can be reviewed with just the film trailer, but a DVD with the full length film is preferred.
Selected Film Entries: Must provide 2 copies of DVD by February (if not already submitted) with:
1. Production information including cast and credits
