Gus Shepard is a former jet pilot and had aspirations to become an astronaut. When his son Wally was born, he couldn’t commit his time to finish his tests at NASA and had to find work in his home town. He took in engineer background and opened up an auto repair shop.
Thirty years has gone by and Gus has never lost his love for space, he shows this by designing his shop to be more about space and rockets than cars or motorcycles. His son Wally has just found out that he and his girlfriend are expecting a baby and he doesn't feel like he is ready to be a father but with Gus’ guidance, he hopes to learn.

Mantica’s responsibilities included traveling to schools across Indiana and surrounding states instructing & teaching fellow peers through workshops how to excel in theater. After competitive theater Mantica came to Purdue for college where he began acting for film and performed in various short films. His experiences solidified his passion for acting on camera and his desire to pursue a career in film led him to Chicago where he is signed with Big Mouth Talent and is now actively appearing in commercial and television work.
In writing 'Beyond,' it was my goal to tell a story about many of the life lessons and wisdom that my father instilled in me. I wanted to address our own mortality, and the limited time we are given. Life isn't just about the big picture, for me, it’s about really cherishing all the small steps it takes to get to where we are. From ‘Beyond,’ I hope others glean an appreciation for what they have while they have it, because we never know when it could go away.
