BEYOND THE SEA
From a poor village in the Ligurian hinterland, after the war, Giovanni went to Genoa to embark for Buenos Aires in search of work. He leaves his wife, little son Nicola and his elderly father. A storm causes the ship to sink, many missing and no trace of Giovanni is found. Nicola asks for his dad but his Grandfather tells him that his dad was taken away from the sea. Nicola, however, does not accept it and goes to find the sea and his dad, in a journey that will lead him to become an adult.

He was born in Cremona in a family of journalists and writers. His grandfather, Fiorino Soldi, was an influential novelist and journalist in the sixties, as well as curator of the Rai radio dramas very popular at that time.
He graduated in science and technology of the arts and entertainment, directing field of study, at the DAMS university and moved to Rome, where he successfully followed two master's degrees in screenwriting at the Experimental Center of Cinematography.
In 2013 he shot the short film Il bosco dei sorrisi erranti with which he won the Pistoia Film Festival, while in 2014 he directed Ricordi di un partigiano, a historical drama presented at various festivals.
In 2019 he founded the Remor Film production, with which he writes and directs the short film Il padre di mia figlia with Giulio Scarpati and the photography by Luciano Tovoli, presented at the Cannes film festival and other important international events.
During 2021 the documentary Forte e gentile is released, written by Biazzi, produced by the BNL bank and dubbed by the Izzo sisters. In 2022 he writes and directs Al di là del mare, set in the post-war period, starring Eros Pagni and Serena Grandi.
He reviews scripts for several production companies.
He writes about cinema for the magazine Liminateatri.
In 2014 Edizioni del Rosone published his first novel L'ultima luna di febbraio, while in 2017 Novecento editore published the second book La stella a quattro punte.
