Set between 1934-1987, Henry and his wife Iris go to extreme lengths to ensure that their dream of starting the Beaumont Cinema palace becomes a reality. Decades later, as the era of movie palaces dies and the world moves on, their adult children Thomas, Lily, and David, struggle to deal with the legacy their father built. Approaching the 50th anniversary of the theater, secrets of the past begin to unravel and cracks within the family are revealed.

Writer Biography - Marissa Michel

Marissa Michel served as the 2020 Prince George’s County Youth Poet Laureate. She is the recipient of multiple national gold medals for poetry in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards. Marissa was a 2020 and 2022 American Voice Nominee, and the 2020 Diaz-Mattison Poetry Prize recipient.
