He began his career in showbusiness back in mid 80s via Regal Films, But in mid 90s, he shifted his career as he joined the airline industry as a reservation and ticketing officer prior to becoming an overseas Filipino worker, himself.
In 2005, he returned to showbiz via the late master director—Maryo J. delos Reyes’s the now defunct Productions56.
From then on, he did indie films and worked with Indie filmmakers like Brillante Mendoza, the late Gil Portes and Arlyn Dela Cruz as line producer and production manager. Concurrent to that, he was directing documentary and short films as well as provincial live shows and events.
When the offer came to direct—‘The Maid in London’—he started writing the screenplay based on the book of BL Panganiban titled ‘Tago ng Tago (TNT)’. Then the rest is history; filming began with Eigenmann to portray the lead role and Viva Films to distribute it.
Since it is about overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), he is the better guy to understand, appreciate the struggles of such individuals because he was once an OFW, too.
