BASH - Bay Area & Sacramento Shorts Film Festival, the 2x Annual BASH Film Festival will continue its tradition of showcasing a diverse sampling of BAY AREA, SACRAMENTO and within 60 miles, made shorts and mini features, award-winning directors along with amateurs breaking in the industry and blowing everyone away. From EPIC Comedies, Horrors to Serious Dramas, and Documentaries our selections are eclectic and all across the board!!!!

Audience choice winners for each section will compete to win Best of 2024 during our MMTB Screening at the end of the night. Winners will be announced at the end of the night and given their 2023 BASH Award. Some may also be selected as Semi-Finalists and will get to screen at the MMTB Theater or another theater in the Bay.

Awards & Prizes

Audience choice winners selected from both semi-annual screenings and receive a Trophy and Pix on Red Carpet. And possibility to screen a few more times throughout the year at our various festivals throughout the Bay!

Rules & Terms

MUST BE BAY AREA MADE, INCLUDES SACRAMENTO, SANTA CRUZ AND SURROUNDING AREAS WITHIN 60 MILES OF THE SF BAY AREA, or SACRAMENTO.

**Important to fill out the filmmaker info for the submission, if it is not stated with proof, or clearly made in the Bay Area, Sacramento or 60 mile radius of SF, it will be automatically put in the 'no' pile. Films won't be watched all the way through if it is not clear within a few minutes or, if not stated in the info section of the film. STRICTLY Bay Area, Sacramento or 60 mile radius of SF & Sacramento.. Thanks!

    BASH is an exciting showcase of locally produced short films. You can sense the energy in the theater from the moment you walk in and throughout the screenings. I attended both days and it was well worth it. There is just so much talent in the Bay Area. Kudos to all filmmakers who are selected for BASH Bay Area Short Film Festival.
