Rubin Stein is one of the 10 SPANISH FILMMAKERS ON THE RISE by VARIETY. His short films have been screened at more than 500 international film festivals and have received more than 70 awards worldwide, including nominations for the prestigious Golden Méliès and Goya Awards. Premiered at Palm Springs Shortfest, "Bailaora" is the last short film from the B&W suspense trilogy "Light&Darkness" after the award-winning "Nero" and "Tin&Tina". Each of these movies try to explore a different issue related to the dark side of the human beings. In "Tin&Tina" it was the family; in "Nero" it was politics; and in "Bailaora" is the war.
