B-GON Stain Remover- A fictitious ad film

A student made an ad film that talks about how performance anxiety impacts children.
The film uses a satirical take on a serious topic, by advertising a detergent that seems to be the solution to the protagonist’s problems.
While on the outside, it may seem that the life of a child is easy and stress-free, but in reality, the modern world places a lot of stress on a child.
Performance anxiety has become a part and parcel of life and little things, though not seeming like a big deal on the surface level, can end up piling up and take a toll on a child’s mental well-being.
This film presents a 'what-if' situation, advertising a miracle product that seems to solve all the protagonist's problems.

Director Biography - Aditi Venkat

Hello! I am Aditi and I'm currently a final year student pursuing a degree in Animation and Motion Graphics from UnitedWorld Institute of Design with a strong passion for learning.

My work tends to be quite playful with my use of colour/ theme/ design attributes, which is how I'd like to view the world once in a while- through rose-coloured lenses, taking my journey one step at a time.

Director Statement

I made this film as part of my module on making fictitious ad films. I decided to take the topic of performance anxiety, as it was something I deeply resonate with. In the present era, we live in a highly competitive society and it is no surprise that the number of mental health issues is on the rise.
I wanted to address this issue in a seemingly satirical way, by advertising a 'miracle product' that seems to solve all the protagonist's problems; which of course, is not how the real world works, but is something most of us wish would be the case- one magic solution to take the mental "stains" away
