Director Statement

This experimental, collaged short aims to express the beauty and energy of breakdancing - as well as its origins - with inspirations from anime and manga. Photos of local graffiti in Toronto are collaged with original characters drawn in Procreate, creating a layered and pasted look. Paralleling the process of graffiti, moves in breakdancing are improvised, built up on top of each other, and expressive of one's unique personality.
