Ayni (Reciprocity)
AYNI takes you through the life and hardships the Q’ero indians, descendants of the Inca, suffered during the conquest of the Spanish, that lead them to escape and remain hidden in the high mountains of Peru, maintaining their wisdom and rituals alive.
Narrated by the elders in their native language of Quechua as well as Spanish, the documentary takes you through breathtaking landscapes, their native songs, prayers and rituals that reflect their deep love for nature as they share how we have lost our connection with ‘Pachamama’, Mother Earth, as we have seen God as separate from nature.
The silence, the sounds of nature speaking with you moves your heart to connect with nature and get carried away by this heartful documentary with a deep message for our times to see the mountains, rivers, the sun, the moon, the trees, and the earth as our church and place of worship.
