Experiencing Interruptions?

Awake

Awake explores the disorienting effects of loss and grief, embodied through movement. Through fluctuating cycles of motion, release, and stillness, the film navigates the complex emotional landscape of mourning, culminating in a moment of peace.

The film is comprised of 1849 rotoscoped frames of footage, a meditative process, and features an original score by composer and violinist Ioana Selaru, known for her classical training combined with her innovation and unusual combinations of instruments and sounds.
