Semi-finalist for short screenplay
I'm a longtime Boston writer and musician. "Autumn Gardening" has been published as a short story in "The Forbidden Stitch: An Asian American Women's Anthology (winner of 1990 National Book Award). I'm co-author of "Measured by the Soul: The Life of Joseph Carey Merrick, aka "The Elephant Man." I've recorded several CDs of original piano music and songs over the past 40 years, and hope to write many more.
Thirty-four years ago while expecting my first son, I heard a Hiroshima bomb survivor tell his harrowing story and the suffering of millions. He described the aftereffects of radiation sickness, but his most urgent message was "Never again." Here we are, still facing the threat of nuclear war, and the message of "never again" is more urgent than ever.
