Autumn Bluffs
A love letter to 90s teen dramas like Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Beverly Hills 90210, Autumn Bluffs is the story of four precocious "teens" coming of age in a quiet autumnal town, dealing with raging hormones, the upcoming Homecoming dance, and a sudden infestation of mummies.

Marc Wilkinson is a filmmaker from the cornfields of Illinois. When not writing and directing, he enjoys making music, finger painting, and exploring wooded glens. After directing dozens of short films and music videos, Wilkinson made his debut feature with the YouTuber coming-of-age drama Sunset Rock. He drinks an amount of black coffee that has been described as "stupid" and is known to get emotional when thinking about outer space.
Autumn Bluffs was made out of a love for the melodramatic coming-of-age shows of an era past, flaws and all. Our goal was to recreate the nostalgia of WB-style program recorded into VHS in the early 1990s, while also poking fun at many of the tropes and cliches of genre and time period. We embraced over written dialog, hyped up the emotional soundtrack, dropped the boom into the shot, and littered the whole thing with references to the best and worst of the teen drama era. Shot over a long Thanksgiving weekend, our team of Illinois filmmakers known as Suburban Skies Productions crafted both a stand-alone film experiment, and a possible first chapter in an ongoing series exploring the mysteries of a town where monsters roam, teens appear to be pushing 30, and where it's always - ALWAYS - fall. Welcome to Autumn Bluffs!
