Autism: A Curious Case of the Human Mind
Thomas wants to learn about the neurological condition that his little brother, Owen, was diagnosed with as a child - autism. Through the piecing together of home videos and interviews with people both on and off the autistic spectrum, Thomas attempts to learn more about the condition whilst telling the story of him and his brother, in an effort to raise awareness and society's understanding of the condition.

Thomas Elliott Griffiths was born in Wrexham, Wales. He is a director, writer and producer known for Autism: A Curious Case of the Human Mind (2017). As a child, Thomas originally wanted to become an actor and studied performing arts for a number of years, until he discovered Media Studies and began working behind the camera instead. Thomas completed a 2 year TV and Film Production course at Coleg Cambria, Wrexham, before enrolling at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, to study Film Studies and Film Production.
I'm a boy who fell in love with film from an early age. Having a household with an Autistic brother consisted of towers of VHS tapes being piled around my home, so I had an entire library of motion picture to indulge myself in whilst growing up.
This film's subject was a very personal topic for me to approach however I believed it evoked the right motivation and emotions from me to pursue it enough - to really want it. I am so excited to present this journey to audiences all around the world and hopefully provide an touching and educational insight into autism, and hopefully make this world a little bit more understanding of such a complex and mysterious condition.
