Agam Anand, a graduate in Accounts and a Master's degree holder from Kolkata, transitioned from the corporate world to pursue his passion for literature, cinema, and creative arts. After over a year in banking, his entrepreneurial spirit and creative drive led him to embrace his true calling as an author, actor, filmmaker, and stand-up artist.
In 2015, Anand authored 'A Non-Entity', Bihar's first contemporary English novella, marking his entry into the literary world. His second novel, 'The Colossal Illusion' (2019), released to critical acclaim and achieved commercial success by entering Amazon India's Top 100 bestsellers within 24 hours. The book garnered three prestigious award nominations and won the "Best Romantic Novel" at the TCK Reader's Choice Awards (USA, 2019). He was also honored as "Author of the Year" at the NE8x Lit Fest the same year.
Expanding his horizons, Anand founded an independent production house in 2020 to create web films and series. His debut project, 'Woh Khaas', became India's first dual-audio short film, streaming across six OTT platforms and amassing over 9 million combined views. It premiered at the Paus Premieres Festival in the UK in 2021 and earned the "Outstanding Film Award" at the 4th Meihodo International Youth Visual Media Festival (USA, 2022). Additionally, he wrote and produced 'Populess', a short film that premiered on MTV in July 2021, further solidifying his cinematic credentials.
With experience as an assistant director on numerous advertisements, web series, TV shows, and music videos, Anand brings a comprehensive skill set to the entertainment industry. He is also a prolific storyteller, having written over 700 episodes for two popular Kuku FM audio shows, 'Luke’s Redemption' and 'The Dark Moon'.
