Welcome to Autfest: Presented by The Autism Society of America.

The goals of the festival are:

1. To increase awareness of autism through the medium of film in order to promote a greater knowledge of the important value of individuals with autism.

2. To encourage filmmakers to promote a strong and important role of people with autism in a way that generates respect, value, and dignity.

3. To encourage individuals with autism to become filmmakers and/or actors in films and to encourage film companies to use individuals with autism in film production, acting, and all other aspects of film development and to celebrate that commitment.

Audience Choice Awards for:
1. Best Feature
2. Best Documentary
3. Best Short
4. Best Autistic Filmaker

Autfest: Presented by Autism Society of America, this festival awards Audience Choice honors to Best Feature, Best Short and Best Documentary. Festival judges also award a Best Autistic Filmaker. This can go to any artist on a film with an autism diagnosis. Other categories to be determined each year.

Awards are presented to filmmakers at the awards ceremony at the end of the festival.

For entries paying the Student Fee, a copy of a current student ID MUST be included with the submission.

Participation in Autfest: Presented by Autism Society of America implies understanding and acceptance of festival regulations.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

AGREEMENT:

1. Exhibition prints of films accepted for the Festival must be in accepted digital formats.

2. The number, times, dates, and locations of screenings of films are at the discretion of Autfest: Presented by Autism Society of America

3. The print supplier will be responsible for the cost of shipment to the Festival. The Festival will return the print postage prepaid to the address provided by the supplier on the final acceptance contract. If you have a change in address, please contact us immediately to assure the safe return of your print.

4. The individual or corporation submitting the film will provide publicity materials as outlined above no later than 5 days after the acceptance of the film for exhibition at the Festival.

5. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
