It's the start of an Amazing time of the year when we are open for submissions. We're super excited for our 1st Annual AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL FILMWORKZ Film Festival and we want you to be too.

Australian International FilmWorkz Film Festival awaits you for an evening of independent short films! Our “super-friendly”, family, outdoor venue, in Mount Tambourine at the Bearded Dragon Hotel and Bar. Mount Tambourine, Australia is a popular growing hub of cultural events and festivals, with a dedicated art-loving audience.

This festival was founded to promote independent films makers from all over the world. We recognize how difficult it can be to get your film out there, and find a platform where you can reach the right audience. We aim to support you and provide exposure and organize a fun and diverse night of Independent FILM industry cinematic entertainment for filmmakers and viewers alike.

Australian International FilmWorkz program will reflect the diversity and opportunities within each film genre, and our goal is to show films that the audience would otherwise have not seen, and leave a lasting impact.

We look forward to seeing your submissions and welcoming you to our Film Festival Event!

The official selection will be carefully picked by our panel of industry expert judges, and will consist of the films and music Videos nominated for an award. Winners who are not present will be given the option for their awards to be sent. The films screened at the event will be selected from the official selection and may be promoted on our social media platforms and website, and the best ones will receive awards at the film festival in a wide range of categories. Both the nominees and the winners will get our official laurels and may be featured on our Facebook page and websites or other social media.

We hope you feel confident to submit and trust us with your fine work.

  • Great film festival, situated on top of picturesque Mount Tamborine. Unfortunately due to COVID lockdowns in the south, I couldn't be there for the actual festival. Would have loved to attend and be part of the crowd. Will definitely be submitting again. Thanks for the awards, Best Trailer and Honourable Mention for the film, Letter from Bobeyan.
