Ready/Set/Go! announces the first ever Austin Movement Film Festival, June 11th, 12th and 13th, 2015. The festival seeks to present a diverse collection of short films that celebrate and explore human movement. Submitted work should demonstrate a thoughtful collaboration between movement and film. We are not looking for archival footage, or film of stage dance, but for work created in new settings and made for the camera, work that is site specific, highlights experimentation, visual intimacy and attention to detail. We welcome work by student, emerging and established artists. Films of any genre - experimental, documentary, animation, narrative, - are welcome, as long as movement (of any genre) is a strong component.

Selected filmmakers will receive cash awards of up to $200.

All films must be 15 minutes or shorter in length. Higher priority will be placed on films that have been created in the past 5 years (2010-present) and feature artists from Texas and the surrounding states: New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
Films will be shown June 11th, 12th and 13th during the festival at First Street Studio.HOW
