Alice is a middle aged librarian who dreams of being a singer. Her life is grey, all she wants is colour. For her whole life she has been told that dreams should not be reached for, that you should always have a reason for doing everything. A chance meeting with an old lady called Mary in the isle of a twenty four hour supermarket turns her reasons why on their head.
