Atticus Hohman grew up in Maitland, Florida, an outer suburb of the metropolis of Orlando where much of his inspiration and ideas were circulated as an adolescent growing up. Atticus was first introduced to his artistic side at a very young age, growing up in a household where his mom was a successful commercial artist and his father was a mechanical engineer who has worked on amusement park projects for Universal Studios for 30+ years. He started early into his artistic career making short films, skate videos, and other artistic projects. Atticus continues his education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. (2023) in pursuit of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film.
He’s grown up in and around the skateboarding community since he was 13 years old mostly filming and photographing his friends throughout their adolescent years growing up in and around the state of Florida and exploring the themes of modern-day suburbia. As of lately, he has been creating videos documenting people here in Florida and what they do. Getting tiny glimpses into their lives and their little subcultures. While also hitting the road and working on concurrent photojournalism and art projects with an emphasis in collage while he’s not in school.
