In its inaugural year, The Atlanta Global Film Festival celebrates independent filmmaking by providing a platform for filmmakers to showcase their art and voice. Taking place in the burgeoning film hub of Atlanta, Georgia, this festival invites filmmakers from around the world to submit their short and feature films across various categories. Selected films will be featured on the festival’s website, with winning films receiving the honor of being screened at a theater in Atlanta. Join us in the heart of the "New Hollywood of the South" to experience the diverse and vibrant world of independent cinema.

The festival offers exposure and promotion to Officially Selected films via promotional material and press articles. Winners are screened in Atlanta, GA alongside expert panel discussions, speakers, music performances, and networking events.

These films will receive finalist laurels, an IMDb review, and inclusion in the official press release announcing the finalists and winners of the ATLGFF. The press release will be distributed across major news outlets, with a link for filmmakers to share for additional exposure.

One winner will be chosen from each category. These films will receive winning laurels, a certificate award, an IMDb review, and inclusion in the press release. Additionally, they will be screened at a theater in Atlanta, GA. The winners of Best Short and Best Feature will also receive the 'Best Picture' trophy, presented in person at the theater screening or mailed to the recipient.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

​Entries must be submitted via FilmFreeway.

β€’ We consider films in any language, from anywhere in the world. English subtitles are required for non-English language films.
β€’ We consider films regardless of their premiere status. Even if your film has already premiered at another festival, whether screened at a physical venue or online, it’s still eligible for consideration.
β€’ Films must have been completed within three years of the submission date.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
The festival directors and our judges make programming decisions. If accepted, we will notify filmmakers by email. After acceptance, the exhibition format must be submitted to our office two weeks before the festival. Submitting your film does not guarantee inclusion in the film festival.
