Atlant
In a winter city reminiscent of early 20th-century Saint Petersburg, a small man lives among monumental stone Atlantes and feels strangely stronger beside them. Almost invisible to others, he quietly observes the world around him. As his body gradually weakens, his inner scale begins to grow — expanding beyond the monumental forms that surround him.

Victoria Yudina is a filmmaker born near Lake Baikal in Siberia. After finishing school, she moved to St. Petersburg, where she studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at St. Petersburg State University and directing at the St. Petersburg School of New Cinema. She also studied film criticism at Bard College in New York.
Her works have been presented at international festivals in Europe and the United States, including Tromsø International Film Festival (Norway), Avanca Film Festival (Portugal), Moondance International Film Festival (USA), and Richmond International Film Festival (USA).
She currently lives and works in St.Petersburg. In her work, she looks for strong visual images that express and strengthen the ideas she wants to convey.
The image of the Atlant — a monumental sculptural figure carrying architectural weight — became the starting point for this film. These stone bodies symbolize visible strength and endurance.
Next to them appears a small and fragile human figure. Through this contrast I wanted to reflect on human fragility in a world of cold monumental structures.
Through the atmosphere of a quiet northern city — its intimacy, winter light and silent halls — the film follows a small human figure who dreams of becoming strong and large, and gradually reveals where this desire may lead.
