Calling all young Filmmakers & Screenwriters!

This is your chance to win $500 and other Awards in the inaugural ATABUG Mini Film & Script Competition.

Tell your story with whatever you have at home, in whichever medium you like. Use your smartphone, tablet or camera. Deploy your filmmaking, creativity & writing skills to produce a three-minute visual story or script.

There are two competitions to enter:

1. Produce a three-minute film, a slideshow with voice over, a music video, an animation, a documentary, or a musical.
OR
2. Write a three-page script.

You may submit as many films and/or scripts as you like with each entry costing $37.50(AUD)

Entries must follow one of these themes:

JUNIOR (up to 12 years):
* Mystery at number... (insert your house number), or
* It was the Craziest Day of my Life

YOUTH (13-18 years):
* Am I really Insta-famous?
* You can't ask me that!

Every entrant receives a free one-month subscription to https://theatrebugs.vhx.tv/ where all entries will be available to watch by July 15, 2020.

Judges include Dr Cathy Adamek (Actor, Dancer & AUSDANCE Board Member), Chrissie Page, Professional Actor, Adam Morgan, Actor & AFI/AACTA Judge & Managing Director of Theatre Bugs, Michael Eustice.

Entries must be received on or before the deadline dates by 11:59PM Pacific Time, and submission fee payment must be made in full at time of the submission. All entry fees are non-refundable.

All submitted material must be original, and all rights must be wholly owned by the writer(s).

Entries must be in English.

You may enter as many films and scripts as you like, using separate entries. There is no limit to the number of projects you may submit.

Mini-Film Competition
Films must be submitted by the creator.
Films created by teams must be submitted by one of the team members (the creator), with the consent of the other(s).
Each member of the team must be credited in either the opening credits or closing credits.
If a team is chosen as a winner, prizes will be given to the person who submits the project. Each team is responsible for dividing or sharing the prize money.

Mini-Script Competition
Scripts must be submitted by the writer.
Scripts written by teams must be submitted by one of the team members, with the consent of the other(s).
Each member of the team must be credited on the Title page of the script.
If a team is chosen as a winner, prizes will be given to the person who submits the script. Each team is responsible for dividing or sharing the prize money.
Substitutions or corrections after submission will not be accepted. Please proofread your scripts carefully.

Scripts can be up to 4 pages long:
Page 1 - title page,
Page 2, 3, 4 - mini-film script.
The cover page should include the script title, the copyright symbol, date and your name and contact details.
All pages should be numbered in the top right-hand corner. Use standard margins (2.5cm) at the top, bottom and right. A larger left margin is desirable. Use a 3.9cm margin on the left-hand side.
FONT - Courier 12 point.

Every finalist will be advised of their finalist status by email and will be asked to supply a photograph of themselves with their project, to prove their age range, and for marketing purposes.

The organisers will make every effort to ensure only appropriately aged entrants are judged in the competition.

The material submitted must not be encumbered by any obligation to, or option held by, any third party prior to entering the competition.

The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered in to.

All material submitted to other competitions or contests is eligible.

There are no limitations or restrictions as to the date of creation.

All ownership and rights to mini-films and scripts submitted to this contest remain with the original holder's.
