Elisabeth Teinburg is a 21 year old Estonian student. She studies media design at Tartu Kõrgem Kunstikool Pallas and works in a small design studio as a graphic designer. Although she has enjoyed doodling different characters since she was a child, “Teosammul” (At a Snail’s Pace) is her first big endeavour in animation.
“Teosammul” project was born quite naturally whilst scribbling an angry-faced snail on the pages of a notebook. The storyline and protagonist went through multiple changes and edits until the animation became what it is now. There are many ways to understand or interpret “Teosammul”. It can be explained as a story, one where mishaps can lead to significant (life) changes, or where even the smallest and least significant situations and events reveal their charm. And why not – “Teosammul” is a comedic and simple story about a small, yet determined and passionate character, who just sometimes runs out of luck.
