Fabrizio Marrocchi is a writer, video creator, editor and digital music composer; He was born in San José, Costa Rica in 1995.
Always being captivated since childhood by the wonderful world of movies,
During his adolescence he began to write poetry and his interest and affinity for the arts, philosophy and other disciplines played an important role in his development.
In 2014 he entered the Véritas University Film and TV School where he found his place in filmmaking, theory, direction of actors, and video post-production.
Experimenting early on with possibilities as a way of appropriating and understanding cinematographic language, he concludes his apocalyptic experimental short film "Reflejos" (2016).
He was part of an international volunteering with aiesec in Poland, teaching English in schools and representing Costa Rica as part of the cultural exchange.
He is selected to direct the first episode of the series "La Reforma" (2016) of three chapters for YouTube.
In 2017 the first compilation of his poems, "Machina Ex-Animus", is presented at the National Book Fair.
Between 2018 and 2019 he designed and carried out a 5 video campaign for the Costa Rican Red Cross.
In 2019, the video clip "Like Trees" (2017) and the video art "How to draw fire?" (2018)
He has worked as a freelance video editor for several short films, and in the area of advertising and content creation.
His college grade thesis "The sinister as dramatic and aesthetic force in cinematographic structures" is part of the short film "As well as the River Flows" (2022) which he wrote, directed, edited, musicalized and performed for the first time; It is in the final phase of post-production.
