When I started working on pre-production for ASK, I had no idea that my son was battling drug addiction, nor any idea how codependent I was. I was advised by two "addiction experts" to STOP production and get a sponsor and work the 12 Steps, which I did. Needless to say, at that point the film became very personal. My hope is that ASK will help others.
