Asians on Film is an 501 (C)3 non-profit devoted to arts & entertainment with a primary focus in providing recognition to the talent of Asian/Pacific Islanders who are minorities in the film industry either as actors, actresses, writers, directors, producers, editors and/or those who work in other aspects of filmmaking. We are committed to promotion via news, information, interviews and recognition given by the festival.

Rules & Terms

For us the rules are simple. We want filmmakers to tell us where their film fits and diversity is encouraged in all aspects of filmmaking, story telling and how a story is told. Eligible films must have Asian/Pacific Islanders involved in some major aspect of a film project either producing, writing, directing, acting, cinematography or editing and in accordance with our mission and goals.

    The festival last year was held online which I felt was wholeheartedly embraced to great success. They hosted all sorts of interactive online events to watch and discuss films with other filmmakers. Was very well organized!

    One of the best film festivals I have had the pleasure of working with. Scott and Stephen have great communication and are EXTREMELY proactive on social media ensuring that my film 'Tita' got as much coverage as possible. We even shot a Q&A which was really rewarding and only strengthened my experience of AOF. I will absolutely be submitting future films with AOF. Thanks Scott and Stephen for an awesome film festival experience!
