Overall Rating
  • Asians on Film was an extremely we'll organized and fun festival event. They have a very hip screening venue in the heart of Los Angeles. The festival programmers selected some really excellent films in a wide variety of genres. We had a great time meeting all the talented filmmakers and watching the selected films.

the festival is pretty small and DOES NOT provide any assistance with either the flights or accommodation for filmmakers to attend the events. happy to have been included and very grateful to have won the best doc award there, however the organizers said they could not mail the award to me to New York because it's "too expensive." A little disappointed with where this festival is at its 9TH YEAR. the organizers seemed very happy with where they are tho and were pretty defensive to criticisms.

I've had the fortune of screening here several times with different films and the festival team has been nothing short of professional, courteous and attentive. Most importantly they do a great job of providing a venue for Asian filmmakers to network and support each other's work so the Pan-Asian community grows as a whole. This effort alone deserves kudos and I hope to be back soon.

  • The Asians on Film Festival gives opportunities to filmmakers, regardless of status, to showcase their work with a priority on the quality of writing and production over mere looks. It has a truly welcoming and friendly environment, with the opportunity to network with reputable names in the industry.
