Introduction

Campus Cinema is Asia Peace Film Festival’s (APFF) flagship initiative launched and piloted at the University of Sargodha (UOS) in February 2019. Campus Cinema brings international best practices in Short Film, Animation, Documentary and Music Video to the universities with an all-encompassing teaching project.

The core purpose of Campus Cinema is to forge, facilitate and strengthen Media-Industry and Academia Linkages as a pathway towards a quality-based entertainment and creative industry in Pakistan.

Campus Cinema is aimed at engaging young and emerging filmmakers currently studying in different universities and media colleges in Pakistan. Apart from facilitating faculty and student exchange programs, Campus Cinema strives to create a number of learning opportunities for filmmakers, writers, directors, producers and actors so that they can enrich their skills, content and creativity for a competitive global media and film market.

APFF will present Campus Cinema at the 2nd Edition of International Student Convention & Expo 2019, Lahore on 11-20 April, 2019.

The Campus Cinema would be presenting following features:

1. Screening of selected works from all across Asia (based on APFF submissions and
selections)
2. Master Classes (A-Z of Filmmaking)
3. Mentoring and Tutorial Sessions
4. Briefings on Inter-University Film Competition
5. Award-Giving Ceremony for the Winners of APFF 2nd Edition

National Student Film Competition – Pakistan
Purpose

The National Student Film Competition (NSFC) is aimed at furnishing a credible platform for the creative exposure and display of young filmmakers wherein they present and showcase their works for the review and ranking by the professional peers.

This is also aimed to facilitate the unlocking of youthful creative genius of amateur artists and filmmakers in Pakistan. Additionally, the event is aimed at creating an opportunity for the media industry for identifying, appreciating, recognizing and utilizing the emerging trends, talent and skills in creative expressions particularly in film and news media demonstrated through selected work of media students.

The selected films and students’ works would be awarded and screened at the Campus Cinema at the 2nd Edition of International Student Convention & Expo 2019, Lahore 11th – 20th April, 2019.

Eligibility:
The entries for competition would be based on the MA thesis on visual communication undertaken by media students of public and private universities of Pakistan; and approved by the respective faculties covering academic sessions 2016-18. The categories include documentaries, short film, songs, news reports, interviews, teasers, animation and music videos (not exceeding 20 minutes).
