Ashli Budnik is an Orlando-based stop motion artist who specializes in fabrication. She has experience fabricating stop motion puppets utilizing a mixture of modern and vintage fabrication styles. Ashli’s main inspiration comes from stop motion animation, but more specifically the films of Rankin and Bass, as well as Laika studios.
Ashli graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BFA in Emerging Media - Experimental Animation in May 2025. During her time at UCF, she has developed a diverse portfolio of work including concept art, 2D animation, 3D animation and of course, stop motion animation. Her thesis film, Foraged, has been showcased in the Kaleidoscope Exhibition at the UCF Art Gallery and UCF Celebrates the Arts in Spring 2025. Ashli plans to pursue a career as a stop motion fabricator in the film industry or a scenic fabricator in the themed entertainment industry.
